Google Workspace Plans & Pricing FAQs

In 2026, Google Workspace pricing in the UK (excluding 20% VAT) starts at £5.90 per user/month for the Business Starter plan with an annual commitment, or £7.00 on a flexible monthly basis. The Business Standard plan, which is the most popular for growing teams, costs £11.80 per user/month annually (£14.00 flexible), while the Business Plus tier is priced at £18.40 annually (£22.00 flexible).

The Annual Plan option is available for all Google Workspace editions and allows your organisation to lock in to the lowest per-user price. With an Annual Plan, you agree to buy the service for a full year or multiple years.

Refractiv also allows you to pay for an annual Google Workspace subscription monthly through our direct debit scheme.

If your team expands, you can purchase more licenses pro rata for the remaining period of the contract. You can only reduce the number of licenses when renewing your plan at the end of the contract. If you cancel your subscription before the contract expires, you must pay for the entire commitment.

On the Flexible Plan, you are billed monthly for each user account. You can add and remove accounts at any time and pay only for the accounts you have during that month. You can cancel the service at any time without penalty.

You can switch from a Flexible Plan to an Annual Plan at any time without restrictions.

Switching from an Annual plan to a Flexible plan is only possible during a free trial or at the time of subscription renewal.

The short answer is no. When you sign up for Google Workspace, you get access to all the productivity apps included with your edition. However, you are free to use only the specific apps that you need.
