The new Styles feature in Google Docs lets you customise the look of headings and text in your document directly from your toolbar.

The Styles feature in Google Docs is not new, but it has been significantly improved this week. Users can now customise their own Styles list, setting font, size, colour and more for Headings 1 to 6 – plus Title and normal text.

To customise a heading, format some font in your Google Doc, then select it and go to the Styles menu on your toolbar. With the menu open, hover over the Style you wish to change and click on the right hand arrow, then select Update Heading X to match selection.
