Since hearing about its impact in the USA, we’ve been waiting with bated breath for Google Voice here at Refractiv. The latest Google blog has just announced its imminent arrival.

Google Apps users in the UK are now able to make low-cost calls from the Gmail email client to landlines and mobile phones. We’ve long said that Google Voice could be a game changer when it arrives in the UK.

Now that Google Voice had been announced in the UK we are anxious to see if it can challenge the established players – landline companies, mobile operators and even Skype. It’s available soon and we’ll report back after we’ve got to know it.
