Analyze more file types with Gemini AI
Google Workspace users with a Gemini add-on can upload various files from Google Drive or locally from their devices to analyze their content, summarise complex subjects, identify insights, and more. The list of supported files now includes TXT, DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF, DOT, DOTX, HWP, HWPX, and Google Docs, as well as data files like XLS, XLSX, CSV, TSV, and Google Sheets.

Gmail

Help me write

The “Help we write” feature can draft emails on web and mobile devices, while the “Refine my draft” shortcut allows you to choose between Formalise, Elaborate, or Shorten options. Here’s these features work:

  • On mobile, the “Help me write” shortcut is now visible in empty email drafts and opens the full Help me write experience.
  • For drafts with 12+ words, the “Refine my draft” shortcut appears below the email content, offering options to Polish, Formalise, Elaborate, Shorten, or Write a new draft. Swipe right on “Refine my draft” to access the menu.

Google Meet

Take notes for me

Google Meet introduces a new AI-powerd feature: “Take notes for me.” It can automatically take notes during meetings and attach them to the calendar event after the meeting. This feature is available for Google Workspace customers using selected Gemini add-ons.

Picture-in-picture
Google Meet’s picture-in-picture feature now automatically turns on when you switch tabs during a meeting. This update makes sure your meeting stays visible and accessible while you do other things. You can use picture-in-picture mode with Google Chrome on computers.

Google Forms

Turn responses into tables

Google Forms introduces a new feature that makes it easier to view and structure data in Sheets. When you create a new sheet from Forms data, Sheets automatically opens the data as a table, providing format and structure.
