Get up to speed with the latest Google Workspace features introduced in July 2023. This series of updates includes paid appointments in Google Calendar, hyperlinks in Chat, and polls support during live streams.

Google Calendar

Accept paid appointments
This latest Google Calendar feature allows you to provide clients with the convenience of booking and paying for services directly through Google Calendar. Clients can visit the designated booking page, select their preferred appointment time, and securely input their payment information via Stripe. You also have the option to restrict access to the meeting until payment is successfully processed through the appointment booking page.

Chat

Hyperlinks
In Chat, you now have the option to add hyperlinks when composing a message. As an added benefit, when you copy and paste text from other applications like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, hyperlinks will be preserved.

Read receipts for group chats
Track who has viewed your most recent group message. Read receipts will only be visible in group chats with fewer than 20 participants and are not applicable in Spaces. This feature will help you communicate more effectively and manage your response time expectations.

Gmail

Google Calendar integration
When you create a new email, you’ll notice a mini calendar icon in the compose window’s toolbar. This new Calendar tool enables you to insert suggested meeting times directly from your calendar into the email. The recipient can then review the options and make a selection by simply clicking on the time that suits them best.

Mail merge
You can now connect a Google Sheet with a maximum of 1,500 recipients and utilise any column as a mail merge tag, streamlining the process of sending emails to numerous recipients.

Keep in mind that, just like in multi-send mode, Google automatically incorporates a unique unsubscribe link for each recipient, granting them the option to opt out from future emails sent by you!

Meet

Q&A and Polls support during live streams
Q&A and polls in Meet are great for enhancing audience engagement during meetings. Now you can use these tools during live streams in Meet with up to 100,000 viewers.
