Google Drive
Google Drive now supports automatic caption generation for videos. When you upload a video, captions can be automatically generated using speech recognition technology to transcribe the audio.
Google Calendar
You can now pre-configure meeting notes, meeting recordings, and meeting transcripts directly from a Google Calendar invite. This feature eliminates awkward pauses during meetings and ensures that you never forget to enable them. Click on the cog icon next to the Google Meet link within the calendar invite to configure these settings.
If you are using the appointment schedules feature in Google Calendar, you’d be happy to know that new features are being added to enhance the overall experience:
- Set a custom weekly recurrence when making an appointment schedule in Calendar. This enables users to choose more flexible recurrences, such as every two weeks.
- Bookers and co-hosts can now add more guests or rooms to booked events, but only if the “Guests can invite others” option is selected during setup or schedule editing.
- The appointment schedule creator can add Google Groups as co-hosts during the setup process, making it easier for users to host appointments with others.

Google Chat
The home view in Google Chat has been enhanced to provide a more convenient way to stay updated on threads that you follow. The threads you follow will now appear directly within Home, enabling you to quickly catch up. You can also use the “Threads” button in Home to filter your view to show threads only.

To follow a thread, open the thread in Chat and click the Follow button at the top of the page. You follow threads automatically if you are the one who initiated them or if you have been mentioned in conversations.
Google Sheets
Google Sheets now allows dropdown chips to have multiple selections. Previously, only one value could be selected in a dropdown. With the new update, you can choose multiple options within a dropdown. This feature is useful in situations where one item can have multiple project milestones, statuses, or teams.
