Snap Galleries has recently launched a new publishing arm, Ormond Yard Press. Refractiv has created a new page on the Snap website using some interesting techniques to showcase the first of a planned range of ultra large format hardcover photo books.

Snap Galleries required a single page on their existing website to introduce, display and sell a new range of lavish signed limited edition books. In order to convey the uniqueness of these large format rock ‘n roll photo books the page needed to display a lot of information with eye catching photographs and a strong call to action. An accordion slider feature allows visitors to expand and collapse the content they wish to see – a clever solution to the need to display a lot of information on one page.

A large slideshow with thumbnail navigation beautifully illustrates the inaugural publication, Born to Run Revisited – featuring photographs of Bruce Springsteen by Eric Meola.

Finally, extracts from each photo book have been embedded on the new page using Issuu, an online service for viewing digital material. Prospective customers can use the animated page flip function to really get a feel for what they are buying.
