Refractiv recently helped Ford Main Dealer, Paynes of Hinckley, transform their e-mail and internal communication by implementing Google Apps for Business.

The Leicester based dealership had been using an ageing in house mail server which, coupled with poor broadband connectivity, meant that the email system was exceptionally slow and unreliable. Without the need to download messages to simply view them, Gmail instantly improved the speed and accessibility for users and revolutionised email across the company.

The shared Calendar has also paid organisational dividends by co-ordinating individuals and teams in a much more effective way and the Management hope to continue the Google Apps roll out by storing and collaborating on key business documents using Google Drive in the near future.

As a result of the poor bandwidth, Refractiv undertook the migration of user Outlook pst files off site and set up 40 new gmail accounts before returning to Hinckley to complete the implementation to and deliver onsite training to the dealership staff.
